LETTER JACKET ORDER INFORMATION: Show off all of your best high school memories in one place and order your Heard County letter jacket before you miss out! Scholastic Images will be on campus Thursday, December 3rd during all lunches and walk you through the easy ordering process. Letter jacket orders just need a $100 deposit along with proof that you have lettered, so bring your H award letter or certificate/signed form along with any patches you may have at the time of order. Whether you lettered in academics, fine arts, or athletics, we encourage you to order your jacket now so you wear it with pride as they do take 7-8 weeks to arrive! Class Ring and Cap/Gown Packages can also be ordered at this time or online at www.scholasticimages.com. Don’t wait!

Attention Dual Enrollment Students: WGTC Update: West Georgia Technical College will be closed Friday, October 30 due to widespread power outages in our service area – including two of our campuses. Crews are working to restore power, and we expect to reopen for normal operations on Monday, November 2. Please monitor email, social media and the College website for updates on Sunday to confirm Monday’s operating schedule.

Heard County School System will be closed for children on Thursday, September 17th. School will be closed due to an overabundance of caution after watching the 11:30 a.m. National Weather Service briefing. We have large concerns for the amount of rain forecasted for our area. Dirt roads and gravel roads will likely be washed out and make travel impossible in some areas.

WGTC is offering the Accuplacer test for FREE at Heard High School on September 24th for students interested in Dual enrolling at West Georgia Technical College. If you are currently taking classes at WGTC you do not need to test. If you are interested in testing or have questions contact Mrs. Stephanie Hall at stephanie.hall@heard.k12.ga.us

FROM WGTC DUAL ENROLLMENT: We are excited that you have decided to get a jump start on your college career at West Georgia Technical College! Please complete the mandatory WGTC DE fall 2020 online orientation. The online orientation may be completed at https://www.westgatech.edu/admissions/dual-enrollment/orientation/.
Please note the WGTC fall semester begins August 10th! If you are taking a class on a WGTC campus or online, you must begin class the week of August 10th. If you are taking a class at Heard High School, your class will begin the first day of school, August 5th.

Login to your GAFutures account at www.gafutures.org, Click My Dual Enrollment Profile, Click “The upcoming 2020-2021”, Choose “Apply for Dual Enrollment”, Submit your form and the next page will show “Your Application ID”. Write it down! Your parents will receive an email to complete the “Parent Acknowledgment”. Parents must give permission before students can be enrolled in courses.

Shot records and vision/hearing/dental certificate

Heard County proof of residency (lease, mortgage, deed, or most recent property tax, home insurance, electric, water, gas, or landline phone bill)
